Typically, concept visualization relies on 3D modeling to showcase design changes. However, in the case of Don Juan, the concept extended far beyond a mere alteration in materials. It represented a fundamental shift in the approach to marketing the units, driven by significant budget constraints and challenging unit conditions. We call it the “Build Your Own Apartment” Concept.
Build Your Own Apartment
The Build Your Own Apartment concept is pretty straightforward. Rather than prescribe tenants with fixtures and finishes that they are presumed to identify with, allow them to apply their own identity. Instead of building out a full kitchen, put in place a framework, which will allow the end user to create their own kitchen. Instead of installing light fixtures in all rooms, allow the end user to choose and install their own light fixtures. BYOA is not a style or an identity, it’s a platform that allows tenants to install their own identity and make a space their home.
