The Don Juan is a historic four-story, 34-unit multifamily building originally constructed in the 1920s with distinctive Spanish-style architecture. When purchased, the building was in significant disrepair and suffered from extensive water damage, necessitating a comprehensive approach to restoration. Working closely with professional contractors, the team meticulously restored the building, preserving as many original features as possible. However, due to the extent of the damage, many of the original kitchens were beyond repair. To address this challenge, Building Brand developed the concept of a flexible kitchen design, allowing for a range of kitchen styles—from budget-friendly, minimalist setups to more elaborate options with high-end appliances and finishes. This approach not only respected the building’s historical character but also broadened its market appeal, catering to diverse clientele while maximizing the property's market reach.
